National Park Service Partnerships

The Center for Public History is excited to partner with the National Park Service on several projects. Center director Dr. Ann McCleary and research assistant Donna Butler are currently in the process of writing an administrative history of the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site in Flatrock, North Carolina. In addition, students Chuck Lott, Andy Carter, and Sara Berry are working with the Park Service to process some of their archival collections. Graduate research assistant Jeff Bishop will also be working cooperatively with the National Park Service to develop Trail of Tears National Historic Trail-related projects, including preparing nominations for sites to the National Register of Historic Places, developing tour brochures, completing site certificates, and erecting signs and wayside exhibits.
